AirMed offers comprehensive, reasonably-priced medical air transportation services available as fee-for-service or membership plans. Membership plans have a range of options to cover various travel needs.
Whether you are traveling in your home country or overseas, unexpected injuries and illnesses can result in hospitalization far from home. Health and travel insurance may not cover the expensive, medically-supervised transportation you need to get to a hospital close to home. Specialty aircraft and medical escorts offer this service to individuals, families, and organizations through membership programs and insurance navigation support.
Medical air transport membership programs offer emergency air evacuation and repatriation. Members pay an annual fee for the plan, which is a fraction of the cost of a medical air transport. Other medical air transport companies provide these services on a trip-by-trip basis and help clients navigate health or travel insurance.

Travelers of all ages may benefit from medical air transportation, especially seniors. Unfortunately, age-related issues may interrupt travel and require hospitalization. This is especially difficult when traveling far from home. There are no age restrictions for membership with AirMed, but there are no senior-oriented plans, either.
Other services may benefit seniors of all ages in both planning and enjoying their travel. For example, AirMed offers worldwide prescription assistance and medical consultation. It also provides security advisories and safety assessments before and during your trip.
Advancing health issues may concern seniors who are traveling far from home, whether the destination is domestic or international. Medical air transportation plans like those from AirMed may provide some peace of mind. Seniors who are in great or good health and face unexpected illness or injury on a trip can benefit from medical air transport services.
Although AirMed advertises that pre-existing conditions are accepted, some restrictions may apply. Seniors who are hospitalized immediately before or at the time of enrollment may not be eligible for transport related to the same or a similar condition. Seniors who travel to seek medical treatment are not eligible for transit.
AirMed offers comprehensive medical transport and travel services. It stands out from its competitors because of its accreditations and staff certifications. AirMed offers medical transport services through both fee-for-service and membership plans. Plans are available to individuals and families who travel as little as 14 days or live overseas. It is the only American company to win the International Travel Insurance Journal’s “Air Ambulance of the Year” title for two consecutive years. AirMed is a great choice for a reasonably priced and complete medical air transport membership for individuals or families.
