Positive Reviews of Roadside Assistance Allstate:
All insurance is expensive – Allstate has great service!
People usually only leave reviews to complain, so I feel that it’s my duty to leave a great review for Allstate, Service King / Crash Champions on 380, and Enterprise rental car also on 380!
My young adult daughter was rear-ended, and the at fault party’s no-name tiny insurance company strung us along and eventually denied the claim. We needed to get her car fixed and ended up filing a claim through our own Allstate uninsured motorist policy. From the day we called Allstate, the ball started rolling quickly! The same day they assigned the shop of my choice (Service King / Crash Champions) and had Enterprise call me to schedule a rental car. It took about a month to get parts and complete the repair, but Ashley at Service King texted us updates and was the one who answered the phone anytime I called. It was so nice to be able to talk to one person throughout the process. They also dealt directly with Allstate. Enterprise rented us a nice car, and we were able to leave it at Service King when we picked up our car. I can’t say enough good things about how these three companies made a frustrating process as simple and easy as possible. Special shout out to Ashley at Service King / Crash Champions for always keeping us informed of the status! Highly recommend Allstate, Enterprise, and Service King / Crash Champions!
Michael Boss represents your company so well.
Michael Boss represents your company so well. He is a keeper, so fast and responsive and does what he says he is going to do. Even stays on the line to ensure you received what you needed. He helped me with my last few transactions of adding a vehicle and I reached out about a billing question as I had wanted to pay a lump sum and even though not something he is responsible for he called me to help me through it and gave me all of the details of what to do and how to do it. He goes above and beyond and would make me want to stay with Allstate because of him,
Paul Arnone Allstate Agency Bronx, NY
I have been with Paul Arnone Allstate Agency @ 1013 Allerton Ave in Bronx, NY 10469 718-798-0600 for over 10+ years. Paul & Christine has always provided me with top notch service for my rental, condo and automobile insurance for our vehicles. They have provided us with the best options for coverages, made sure we fully understood everything clearly, they always answered all my questions and concerns without hesitation. They pick up all phone calls and answered all emails. There is not enough I can say about their service for me and our family. Whenever I had to make a claim no problem, I’m guided through the whole process with them and Allstate Ins Co. It has been a pleasure having them handle my insurance needs..I was definitely in good hands with them. I wish I didn’t have to part from them but due to my recent relocation but I had no choice. But I’m still with Allstate at my new state location and so far so good.
I would give Paul Arnone’s office 6 stars 🌟 if I could. That’s without exaggerations for their fabulous service. So if you are in NYC looking for insurance. This is the place to go. You will be happy you did. Paul & Christine I can’t thank you enough for everything. You two will be truly missed.
Negative Reviews of Roadside Assistance Allstate:
Everything seemed great at first
Everything seemed great at first. I was paying a lot less than my previous insurance company. Until I wasn’t one day. It’s like they start you off with all these great discounts and then over time they take them away and you end up paying the same. Furthermore they use false advertisement to lure you in with discounts and they don’t actually give them to you. I brought this to the attention of the company and they didn’t do anything to rectify it or to make it right. They continue to bombard me with text telling me that I’m going to get discounts and when I reach back out there’s no discount they’re trying to get me to pay more into my policy. I cannot wait to find a new company because I’m just so unhappy with this company now I wish I never traded over to them.
Just give them lots of money
We switched to Allstate for car insurance since a friend worked there and assured me they were the best. They were a little more expensive but we felt it was worth it. the following year on renewal our policies were hiked by several hundred dollars and we were told “all companies had to increase their rates this way”. We couldn’t switch companies again within one year as it raises your rates dramatically, so we stayed and payed. We had invested in a dash camera which turned out great as we were hit by a flying construction level on the highway (no-fault comprehensive) and then a month later rear ended stopping for traffic at a yield sign merging on a bridge. We were told explicitly that our insurance would not be affected because these were clear no fault accidents with video evidence. Our renewal policy jumped 20% higher! No way. I called them and they confirmed MY rates went up because OTHER people damaged my car. The agent was in the process of repeating that ignorant excuse when I was cut off and sent to their survey to tell them if I was helped or not. Goodbye Allstate. They get two stars because they did cover my vehicle both times but maybe it’s the dashcam that forced them to help me.
Walmart Protection Plans
DO NOT PURCHASE, The “WalMart Protection Plan” by Square Trade, an Allstate Company, which is worthless. You are not informed that the Protection Plan runs with the manufacturers warranty. In other words,
Here’s the straight version, “Product Warranty invalided due to Allstate Warranty.” vise versa “Allstate Warranty invalided due to Product Warranty.”
Layman words, It is worthless expense to purchase the WalMart Protection Plans for their products due to Warranty Conflict.

Allstate Motor Club is geared toward insurance policy owners first and foremost but definitely keeps seniors in mind by offering a 10% discount on membership plans. However, the number of options and plans for roadside assistance can be confusing and frustrating, especially when stranded along the side of the highway. Having to choose between two Motor Club plans or simply electing to go with the Good Hands Rescue service is confusing enough, and that’s not even factoring in the Towing & Labor option for insurance members.
The Good Hands Rescue might be the best option for folks who get their insurance elsewhere since it is a pay-as-you-go service that quickly gets the stranded individual in touch with a nationwide network of service providers. Do note, however, that payments for jumpstarts and similar services carry a fee between $69 and $99, with the latter being the cost of an annual Platinum Elite membership

Whether one considers Allstate’s myriad of roadside assistance plans to be health-related or health-focused comes down to whether the senior in question is tech-savvy. Allstate boasts a GPS location feature for those who download the Good Hands Rescue mobile app, as well as real-time updates via the app. The app even helps a stranded member locate a repair facility and get an estimate on how much a tow will cost. This, of course, does not help if the member does not have a smartphone.
Additionally, unlike other roadside assistance companies, Allstate does not offer medical response assistance and other critical features when a member has been stranded hundreds of miles away from home.
Pros:
- Allstate is the second biggest name in insurance. It has been around for over 86 years and has a reliable nationwide network.
- There are two Motor Club packages as well as two add-on or pay-as-you-go options under the Allstate roadside assistance umbrella.
- Platinum members receive the biggest bang for their buck and peace of mind when they download the mobile app. This pinpoints their location via GPS and assists in finding help fast.
- Allstate offers a 10% annual membership discount for those ages 55 and over.
- Roadside assistance through Allstate starts at $52 per year, one of the lowest fees.
Cons:
- Allstate is an insurance company with a roadside assistance program; the former is the corporation’s focus to the detriment of clearly defined roadside coverage options.
- The number of options and gaps in coverage are confusing and, when utilized by non-members, may result in a surprisingly hefty bill.
- The Allstate Motor Club and Good Hands Rescue are only beneficial for the tech-savvy, given the reliance on the mobile app for guiding rescuers via the GPS search feature.
Bottom Line:
Roadside assistance is not the forte of Allstate. For this reason, it should be carefully considered against niche providers and companies that are dedicated to rescuing the stranded. None of the plans proffered by Allstate are all-inclusive, meaning that the company only reimburses certain activities up to a previously agreed-upon amount and for very narrow reasons.
For instance, the trip interruption reimbursement only applies for a breakdown when that issue arises over 100 miles from home and if the member is on the Platinum plan. Ultimately, the senior shopper would be well-advised to look elsewhere for true peace of mind and upfront coverage options.
Frequently Asked Questions:
What if I move? Am I still covered?
Members and non-members have covered anywhere in the United States and Canada, as well as Guam, but would be encouraged to call Allstate to update their coverage details and request a new card.

Members with gaps in their go-to insurance provider or roadside assistance plans are encouraged to consider purchasing the Towing & Labor plan, which can help if a winching service is required.

Allstate roadside assistance customers enjoy many benefits, including fuel delivery, motorcycle assistance, property coverage, and access to valuable content. In addition, they can explore Allstate’s offerings, get a quote for insurance, and receive identity protection.
